tarpitting delays anaoymous 100%
Hi,
On my Exchange 2007 SP3 server, i have analyzed that "Tarpitting Delays Ananymous" is hitting 100% in Performance Monitor. Users are complaining about emails in Outbox (Smtp/pop3 clients).
Is there any way to detect the problem and resolve it.
thanks.

Have a look at your SMTP protocol logs and see what those clients are
sending thats causing delays to be injected. A SMTP conversation
without errors shouldn't be delayed.

Hi,
Besides Rich’s suggestion, I suggest you run the command to check the tarpit delay.. "get-SendConnector | select name, tarpitinterval". "get-ReceiveConnector
| select name,tarpitinterval"
The tarpit interval only used when trying to send messages to non-existent addresses in your domain. So, does the issue occur on each messages or several messages
which are sent to non-existent addresses?

Thanks.
