Remove it, targetaddress is for mail enabled user (not mailbox enabled users) or contacts and is used for email forwarding purposes, cross forest freebusy, autodiscover forwards to cloud etc. For mailbox users it's not supposed to be set.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

Thank you. So , mail-enable user only need targetaddress value to email foward ,etc. And mailbox user and contact object should not have target address value ? I added target address to some contacts so, if I am wrong ,I have to correct ASAP.

That's correct for mailbox enabled user there is no need for targetaddress, for mail enabled user and contacts possibly if you need to do any type of forwarding (also in the case of cloud services)James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

Thank you. 1. So, it is OK to set targetaddress of mail-enabled user and contact to foward mail ? 2. I should not use altrecipient value of mail-enabled user and contact to forward mail ?

I should not use altrecipient value of mail-enabled user and contact to forward mail ? If it's a mail-enabled user it makes little sense to use an alternate recipient. IIRC, there's no way to specify an alternate recipient on a mail-enabled user, either (at least none that's exposed in a UI). It may be possible (as most things are) to populate the necessary property using ADSIEDIT, but I have no idea what the results would be. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
