synchronization of two different domain
Someone help me in this? Our company is opening a new Branch office that is 1000 miles away from themain office...All our servers are Windows 2003 and all our clients use XPPro. Both locations have a Broadband connection to the internet. We have fivestatic (Public) IP address on both ends for the company. Just a connection to the internetthrough leased line.. I want to create a domain at main office A and additional domain at branch office B so that office B user directly login at domain A and all the users information, changes and data must be replicated and synchronized with both offices domain. Once the site to site link is in place machines in site A can directly contact machines in site B and vice versa That both what are the requirements? Can we resolve our problem by using any Microsoft technology? Do we need a router at each location?PLEASE show me in steps like 1 2 3 what to do A-Z Thanks Khurshid (Network administrator)

Dear customer: Since your issue is about Active Directory architecture design, which is out of our support boundary. We advices you to post the issue into the following forum, maybe you can get more help in there. TechNet Forums Windows Server 2008 http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/default.aspx?ForumGroupID=161&SiteID=17 Moreover, I also would like provide some basic information for your reference. Yes, you can achieve data sync between your main office and branch office via Microsoft Windows server 2000 or 2003 directory service. Since I didnt know how you connect your main office and branch office, it hard to say whether you should use a router or not. General, router is used to connect two subnets which subnet masks are different. For more information about Active Directory design, you can refer to the following documents: Active Directory Architecture http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727030.aspx Active Directory All Chapters Download http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9a4c7ac3-185e-4644-9e98-4876b2a477e7&DisplayLang=en Hope this helps.
