And when you look at the email address tab in EMC for these two accounts what is the default SMTP address @subdomain.domain.com or @domain.com? Make sure it's @domain.com. If it already is at @domain.com and it's sending email out as @subdomain.com then maybe you have some address re-rewriting agent going on.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

Exchange 2007 enforces the recipient policies when you move mailboxes: http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2007/01/05/3397660.aspx If you dont want those enforced, uncheck the ( Or use powershell) to disable the automatically apply email address policies during the moves.

our only policy is @domain.com (BOLD MAIN) @olddomain.com we do not and have never had a @subdomain.domain.com we have moved several mailboxes and so far these are the only 2 that are showing this problem -- REMOVE X from Xname AND Xdomain to reply directly STOP SPAM "AndyD_" <=?utf-8?B?QW5keURf?=> wrote in message news:6faaac10-b72e-4890-a4d8-e4f933e35403... Are you using an edge box? If not then address rewrite is not in play. Does it affect internal and external email for example then an internal user emails these two users at user1@domain.com they don't get it? What does message tracking say? If they send from OWA, does the email go out as user1@subdomain.com? What I would do if you don't want to spend the time to determine root cause or in a time crunch, try disabling the mailbox then re-mail enable it by re-attaching it to the disconnected mailbox. Before you do this make sure you document any mail related attributes x500 addresses, etc as these settings will be lost for example you can do an ldifde dump of the user. the subdomain.domain.com is the masquerade subdomain in the exch2003 smtp server -- REMOVE X from Xname AND Xdomain to reply directly STOP SPAM "Jamestechman" <=?utf-8?B?SmFtZXN0ZWNobWFu?=> wrote in message news:7a69c381-8916-47a9-a22d-1d366925638c... Hi Looker44, Per my known, the masquerade domain replaces any local domain name that is used in any Mail From lines in the protocol. The replacement occurs on the first hop only. NOTE: All replies to such messages are routed through the SMTP virtual server that uses the masquerade domain. So, how about remove it. Regards!
