storage group running out of disks space on a BASIC disk
we are running exchange server 2007. We r running out of disk space for 2 of our storage group. we have the following partitions H: 1SG DB - Basic I: 1SG Log - Basic J: 2SG DB - Basic K: 2SG Log - Basic L: 3SG DB - Basic M: 3SG Log - Basic N: 4SG DB - Dynamic O: 4SG Log - Dynamic We are running out of disk space in H, J & L drives. Though we have loads of additional space on spare HDs we cannot extend these drives as they are BASIC drives. Our task is to Convert all the BASIC drives to DYNAMIC & mount the SGs to their respective locations or To create a new dynamic drive with ample space & move the SG/MBS to the new location & then convert the BASIC drives to DYNAMIC & extend the current drives as & when needed Please can someone shed some light on whats the best way to do this? Thank You.

Hi psunith, Per my known, it is better keep the locally attached storage as basic disks for the storage usage due to some performance issue. But if you want to do it, I would chose the second one. Please backup the database firstly. Regards!
