Clarify: Got Anti-Spam update error 1009 in the application log on edge
Possible cause:
Temporary network issue
The Related Service in the Edge server was not started
Corruption in the Exchange Server
Troubleshooting:
1. Please go to the Microsoft Update to check if the Windows can be updated
Notes: This can help us to make sure if the issue is related to Windows, or the Exchange Server itself. If it is a Windows update issue, all the automatic update of Windows should be affected
2. Please check the following service <Start->Run->Services.msc>
Microsoft Exchange Anti-spam Update
Notes: It needs to be started and the Startup type needs to be "Automatic"
Automatic Updates
Notes: It needs to be started and the Startup type needs to be "Automatic"
Background Intelligent Transfer Service
Notes: The Startup type need to be "Manual"
3. This issue may be caused by temporary network problem. Connection between your server and Microsoft update server may be temporary unavailable. So please check it the next day to have a try again
