The IIS and SMTP Service started terminating in that order unexpectantly (of course when would it be expected) a couple of days ago. I removed all of the email from the queue and restarted the services and everything ran fine. Added every email back to the queue one at a time until it bombed. The email is a spam message that looks otherwise normal but I am not an expert in reading these.This server is Exchange 2003 SP2 on W2K3 SP1 running ADwith McAfee GroupShield 6.0.2 for AntiVirusand GFIMailEssentials 11 forAnti-Spam. No fix as of yet, but no more messages have come across which stop the SMTP service. Hopefully hackers do not get their hands on this.

To avoid this in the future, in GFI mail essentails configure active directory lookup and deleted any emails which is not to a active directory lists.If you think your services are stopped by this emails, go to your smtp directory , rename the existing directory in :\exchsrv\smtp\ and create a new one.
