spam filtering

Hi

I am trying to enable spam filtering on exchange 2013

I have 2 cas servers

2 Mailbox serrvers

where shall i install the spam filtering ? ( cas or Mailbox)

Hi ,

I thought you are speaking about installing Anti spam agents in exchange 2013 .

Anti-Spam agents will be installed on mailbox servers.But the advisable method is to have the Anti-spam agents on the edge server which will placed on perimeter network to receive all the external smtp from the external world.So that forged connections will be terminated by the edge server itself.

Hi Yasser

In Exchange 2013 we need to enable Anti-spam agents in the Mailbox servers since the transport categorization takes place on mailbox server.

 From Exchange 2013 SP1 we have edge servers in which we can enable the Anti-spam agents as well.
