smtp authentication in exchange 2007
hi all,how can i configure smtp authentication in exchange 2007 without using edge transport server??i need the solution ASAP.

Dear Rock Wang,Thanx for your kind reply.i visited the link before that you provide me,here(http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997170.aspx) they recomanded me to configure edge transport server,but i dont want this.my problem is like that,supposed, we have a mail server called, "mail.abc.com"now the problem is using vb or java application anyone can send mail by "mail.abc.com" to x@abc.com (receiver) from y@abc.com(sender).here,x and y can be any name.in this situation i need a authentication.hope you understand my problem.

Dear mustaque: Thanks for your reply. According to your post, I found that you send e-mail to Exchange server 2007 user via VB or Java application not Outlook or Outlook Express.
