shared mailbox vs public folders in 2010
Dear colleagues, is there a way to have in shared mailbox the unread emails by user as in public folders: when a user read an email this should not convert the email to read for other users rgds

No you cant. Maybe for your scenario educate users to preview the email rather than open them and set - "Mark items as read when viewed in reading pane" to disabled. Sukh
