setup.com /PrepareAD Failure problem
Hi. We run a Single Domain running at Windows Server 2003 FFL and I am trying to install Exchange 2007 SP1 to run concurrently with our Exchange 2003 environment. I have setup 2 Windows 2008 Enterprise x64 SP1 servers in a cluser to runthemailbox role and have a single Windows 2008 Standard x64 SP1 server to run Hub Transport and Client Access roles. I have tried tp runsetup.com /PrepareADon both the Standard and Enterprise installations but always recieve the following error: Exchange 2007 cannot be used with the version of Windows operating system running on this computer. Everything I have found lists the operating systems I have as supported so I cannot see what this can be for. Any help welcome Thanks.

Hi, Please understand that Exchange 2007 with sp1 can be installed on Windows Server 2008,so please make sure that you launch the setup for Exchange 2007 sp1. Then please check the operation system version. You can run winver from a command prompt to check the version. How to Install Exchange 2007 SP1 Prerequisites on Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691354(EXCHG.80).aspx If all the information is correct, then please send exchangesetup.log to Xiu Zhang for further troubleshooting. Hope it helps. Xiu
