setting the Exchange 2010 default meeting time length
Is there a way to set the default appointment/meeting length in Outlook Calendars to 30 minutes for all users using an Exchange 2010 setting? I'm aware that you can just change a setting in Outlook manually, but is there a way to do it centrally from Exchange? or maybe possibly using Group Policy?me

You can run Set-CalendarProcessing on all the mailbox from Exchange server. Set-Calendarprocessing -identity "Mailboxname" -MaximumdurationinMinutest 30 Bydefault its set to 1440 Minutes. To set for All mailboxes run Get-Mailbox | Set-CalendarProcessing -MaximumdurationinMinutes 30 I am not sure if we have this option in Outlook admin templates to configure it using group policy Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Thank you for your reply, I'm aware that I can set the max. I was wondering more along the lines of the time scale on a calendar. For example, you click on the calendar to open a window to schedule a meeting, the default time frame it selects is 30 minutes (or 60 minutes). Of course, this setting can be changed on Outlook; I was wondering if you can set this option through an Exchange Server setting (probably can use GPO, but not all computers are joined to the domain...)me

Using outlook admin template we can force certain setting in user outlook. For calendar related we get only following to manage using GPO Microsoft Office Outlook 2007\Tools|Options\Preferences\Calendar Options For more information on this please read http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc178992(v=office.12).aspxPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
