Hi,

you should start verifying if the email address is really wrong by running the cmdlet get-recipient xxx@domain.tld.

Second you have to verify that the domain is setup as an authoritative domain and not as an internal relay (in EAC mail flow -> accepted domain).

Lastly, it will sound silly, did you test the NDR answer with an external domain mailbox?

Check you are using any third party Anti-Spam software where it may be quarantined .

Check Exchange Management Console under Organization Configuration/Hub Transport/Remote Domains tab - Check the properties of the DEFAULT remote domina (*).

Under the message Message Format tab make sure that Allow Non-Delivery Reports is checked.

Verify did you have any quarantine in your mailbox over the junk folder or moved to any other folder in your mailbox due to some rule.

Ok,

verify the configuratione suggested by Exchange Queries.

To retrieve the Remote Domain Configuration use the cmdlet "get-remotedomain | ft name, ndrenabled, deliveryreportenabled -autosize".

Awaiting your reply,

best regards,

Hi,

Please check whether other users can receive NDR message when sending mails to invalid email address. If the issue happens to all users and all related configurations are proper, please check whether there are any transport rules directly deleted the mails that send to an invalid address.

Thanks,
