routing group connector issue
I have an exchange 2007 server and a 2003 server co-existing. we've been having problems with the 2007 hardware and i've been forced to take the server ofline. because 2007 auto sets itself as the brigehead server for outbound mail, no mail is flowing out. is there a temporary way to move this bridgehead function back to the 2003 box, or does it have to run on 2007? here is the info i've found on moving the bridgehead from one server to another, but its for 2007 to 2007 only: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb310767.aspx

Have you tried doing a new routing groupconnector from the 2003 console with a cost of 1 and raising the costs of the 07 connectors?

I'll give that a try. i'm also wondering if there are org-wide requirements to exchange 2007 elements, such as hub transport, even if we dont have any mailboxes on 2007 yet.

That's a tough one. I'd assume a RG connector over-ride would be fine, but i don't see anything well documented. Good one for my lab Mike!!
