removing a server
I'm using Exchange 2003. I recently deployed a new member server with Windows 2003. I installed Exchange 2003 with the intention of moving exchange to this new server. I added it to Exchag as an additional server. As far as I know it isn't being used. I recently decided to upgrade to Exchange 2010 before I move Exchange to this new server. I assumed I'd have to remove the 2003 server and install 2010 as a first step. What is the best way to proceed? When I tried to delete the new Exch server I was told to move public folders (which all show 0 bytes in size). When I tried to move them I got an error message about a profile not being established.

Here is the procedure: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/833396 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125110(EXCHG.65).aspx Also, you don’t really need to uninstall this sever. You can install Exchange 2010 on a different server unless you need to use the same server.
