removing a hub transport from the Exchange org?
Probably a simple question, but...We're spinning up a new Exchange 2007 SP1 hub transport VM to test some third-party add-on software. We want to put it through its paces before installing it on our hardware HT/CAS servers. When we're done testing, we're going to discard the VM.Other than uninstalling the hub transport role on the VM before disjoining it from the domain, is there anything else I need to do to make sure all the references to this HT server are removed from active directory? Our Exchange installation has been largely free of grief, and we don't want any to start from an orphaned server reference.

No you should be good with your steps. If it were me though I'd spin up a test org on some VMs and do the testing there rather than in production. Just because it's a test VM doesn't mean mailbox servers aren't going to use it for submission and so forth.Active Directory, 4th Edition - www.briandesmond.com/ad4/
