Hi we have 4 exchange servers and all are runing with all common roles ie. cas,hub transport and mailbox roles. i am now going to dedicate 2 servers only for mailbox and 2 are only for hubtransport and cas. i have already transfer mailboxes to those 2 servers which i will use as Email database. my question is if i remove the CAS and HUB transport roles on these mailbox dedicated servers is it can effect the running servers or make any type of issues running environment. Version of Exchange? If Exchange 2007, then it shouldn't be a problem, clients will reconnect when the server comes back online. If Exchange 2010, then it could be more problematic.
