remote.username.local????
I have a client that uses Exchange in an unusual way. They have a server running exchange and three xp clients. Each client logs to the server using the same username and password. Each client logs to the same exchange user account.
One client is running fine but the other two always get a login request from exchange for remote.username.local. Exchange says they are not connected but they seem to share the account. They are able to see all the folders, tasks, calendar,
and contacts. I have tried several user usernames and passwords but the login keeps popping up. Anyone know what credentials or permissions it might be asking for?

Not sure why they dont have their own mailboxes?
Do these 2 users have full mailbox permission to the mailbox they share?Sukh

Need version information.
remote.example.com though is the SBS naming convention, so could well be connected to that. Could be a DNS issue.

I don't get an error message it just keeps asking for a login even though it seems to see everything. I didn't set this up originally. I inherited this configuration. But the client wants to use the same email account and inbox, calendar,
tasks, contacts, etc for all three computers. It was working before one station had to be rebuilt. This is SBS 2003. I tried using the same user name and password all the way thru.

You might be better off posting in the SBS forum, however, why can't you grant full mailbox permission for each user and create a OLK profile on the user's PC.Sukh
