reminders from shared calendars

Is there an elegant way to get reminders to hit all users on a shared calendar, instead of just the item originator?

If john doe adds an appt to a shared, he gets the reminder, not everyone else ... google-fu tells me that this won't really work, but much evidence of hacky workarounds that date back a few years.

wondering if perhaps there's a 'better way' in 2015?

This is really an Outlook question.  If a user adds the calendar to his list of calendars, won't he get the reminders?

Hi,

By default, the reminder added in the shared calendar can only remind the mailbox owner instead of calendar owner.

And based on my knowledge, there is no elegant way to achive this until now.
