regarding exchange server
sir, im facing a problem with exchange server 2007 as when we compose a new mail and retrieve a mail list from address book im not getting the list if im providing the keyword which is in intials field how to get this search to be done in all fields such as firstname,lastname,initials,displayname and description

By default outlook should do Auomatic Name Resolution if you press CTRL + K in To, CC or BCC field with certain attributes listed below. displayName, mail, givenName, legacyExchangeDN, mailNickname, physicalDeliveryOfficeName, proxyAddresses, name, sAMAccountName (it doesn't search in description). Outlook contacts Active Directory or Global Catalogs and do LDAP query and search in these fields, so check if your computer has direct connectivity of AD & GC with LDAP port 389 & 3268.

That's how it works with name resolution in outlook. Good explanation by Amit. I think one basic thing we may need to find outwhich version of Outlook you are using? Is it online profile or cached mode profile?
