public folder replication vs local continous replication
I am a newbie to exchange server 2007. Recently i have learnt that if there are more than one public folder databases then local continous replication will not work.what i am confused about is this public folder databases are existing on the same server and not any where else in the exchange organisation then why does repication(public folder replication)take place.where is it being replicated to?

If you have multiple Exchange servers then add the additional server to the list of public folder replicas. However it is unusual to have more than one public folder database on the server. If you are using Outlook 2003 or older then you really should have public folders on every Exchange server with the mailbox role. Not doing so can lead to performance issues. The basic rule is that you use either public folder replication or one of the database level replication methods, not both. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources | In the UK?
