pst imported stuck in queued status

I have a new Exchange 2013 install with 4 mailboxes. The virtual server has 4 cores and 24 GB of RAM. No volume is more than 50% utilized. I am attempting to import one 6MB pst. The import remains queued even after service/server restart. I am on the latest update/rollup.

Job is waiting for resource reservation. MRS will continue trying to pick up
this request. Details: Resource reservation failed for 'Mailbox Database
2046297900/MdbWrite' (CiAgeOfLastNotification(Mailbox Database 204297900)): load ratio 1.79769313486232E+308, load state 'Critical', metric 2147483647. This resource is currently unhealthy.

Any suggestions what the issue might be or where else to look for clues?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Could you please provide the result of the following :

Get-MailboxImportRequest | Get-MailboxImportRequestStatistics

If there is an error it'll be reported by Get-MailboxImportRequestStatistics

It may say something like "Max bad items encountered", which you can raise the bad (corrupted) item limit (by default I believe its 10) : Get-MailboxImportRequest | Set-MailboxImportRequest -BadItemLimit 50

For step-wise instructions, Please refer at : http://terenceluk.blogspot.in/2014/02/importing-psts-into-microsoft-exchange.html

Moreover, if the issue still persist, you may try using this automated solution (http://www.exchangemailboxtopst.org/) that may be a good alternative solution while need to import PST into Exchange 2013.

Hi ,

Please use the below mentioned command to check the reason for failure in mailbox import.

Get-MailboxImportRequestStatistics -identity "problematic mailbox" -IncludeReport | fl

I found the resolution shortly after posting. The Content Index State was Failed and Suspended. To remedy I used solution found in another post

Stop microsoft exchange search, stop exchange search host controller, go into the content DB folders (D:\Data\Mailboxes\Ex0 for me) and delete the folder in there with the GUID that ends in .single.

Restart the services and after a few minutes, "get-mailboxdatabasecopystatus | ft -autosize" will switch from FAILED to crawling and then eventually healthy. This process may take a few hours.

Once Healthy the import completed.
