good morning everyone we are using an exchange 2003 server to manage the internal mail in my company and a user called me because he gets a message of exceeding the size limit. So i dragged one of his big folders which is under inbox (stored in the server) and drop it on the archive folder (stored on his pc) and i noticed that the folder moved quickly,but when i opened the folder in the archive i found that the structure is copied but non of his mail is there,and also the folder dissapper from the inbox what can i do to restore the mails?? Hi, If folder and mails are in retention period then you can recover it from outlook. 1. Enable the dumpster by adding a registry key at below path. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Options New -> DWORD Value -> DumpsterAlwaysOn -> Value Data = 1 Restart your outlook. 2. In outlook, Click on Inbox -> Tools Menu -> Recovered Deleted Items You can see there your moved folder, select that and click on Recovered Selected Items, this will recover the deleted folder and mails as a subfolder of Inbox with name Name (Recovered)
