pivot chart in excel 2010 and 2013 can't exceed the 65536 rows

I'm using excel 2010 32 bit on win7 64bit.

I can't create pivot chart that exceeds the 65,540 rows.

when creating a regular chart, there is no problem showing over 65,540 rows.

when looking at excel 2010 pivot chart limitation document, I can see that it's only limited by the system memory. in my case no more than 300MB where used by excel.

When I'm creating a pivot chart, excel only shows "the number of rows I have (~100K) -65K" first rows.

the Data I use is very simple: two columns with regular numbers (1- 70,000). I'm not importing anything at all.

at the pivot table I can see all the values. pivot chart shows only 4400 Values.

regular chart shows all lines.

I also tried it in excel 2013 and with excel 2010 64 bit- all give the same results.

please advise,

Regards,

David

65536 rows are the limitation of xls format, not for excel version. the new limit is approximately 1 million rows of xlsx format. Which format do you use?

how large of the filemake sure the file with 100 000 rows is still less that 2Gb in size. Office applications don't like files larger than that.

another possibility, ram is small, might be less than 2GB.

the file is very small, 4MB

this is no memory issue.

I dear anyone to try it himself, Just create 2 columns with numbers 1-100,000.

create a pivot table with pivot chart- look at the chart, only 34384 first values are shown.

at the pivot table I can see all the values.
