password change is reflected realtime to ActiveSync in Exch2003 ?
We change password policy of AD and users changed AD password. Users can log in by laptop by new password, but it happens that some users can not receive/send mail by iPhone by new passord. It looks there is some delay till new password is accepted by iPhone by ActiveSync in Exch2003. Is there any reason for delay for iPhone user ?

This is expected behavior. The way activesync is able to "push" mail to your phone is the phone opens an HTTP connection to the server and *keeps* that connection open. Even when you force a sync, all the phone is doing is sending new commands over the existing HTTP connection that is already open. Changing a password does not close existing connections. However when the heartbeat interval passes and a new connection is created, a new password will be required. The heartbeat interval is determined dynamically by the server and the phone based on the longest successful connection established, so there is no set answer as to how long this will take. (like ) I really don't know, but if it works in OWA then this is not an Exchange problem. You might want to ask Apple.Martina Miskovic
