What does the event log say? The database doesn't just dismount on its own - something will be logged. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources | In the UK? Hire Me.

Hello, If a database is dismounted automatically, a corresponding event ID will be recorded in the application log. You can find the application log by: Click Start ->Control Panel ->Administrative Tools ->Event Viewer. Right click “Application” and select “Save log file As” to save it to .evt format. You can also raise the diagnostic logging to see more details for this issue. There are so many reasons that identifying them in advance is a poor use of time. Go on an Exchange course, where they have time to go in troubleshooting. What you have asked for is something that doesn't happen that often, and when it does, you should find plenty of evidence that points to the reason.
