outlook shared mailbox, wrong color in category, Outlook 2010

hi all,

I have read since 2007 2010 category are stored in Mailbox.

I have a co-worker the see wrong Color (White) in calendar category. why?

If I open the shared Mailbox as shared Mailbox user I see also more categories and the one in green color?

It sounds like you are seeing different categories and different colors for specific categories depending on the Outlook profile/account you are accessing.  This is by design: if I use CategoryA = Blue and assign that category to an appointment, other users who access that shared calendar will see CategoryA = White, unless they have explicitly added CategoryA to their master category list and assigned it a color.  Does that answer your question?

Hello eric

Thanks for you answer. We have another shared mailbox (all user has full access) and if I rename TEXT and change Color all people see the renamed text and right color. This is what I understand because since 2007,2010 catergories are stored in the mailbox and not in the local registry.

Today I will help and remote offer the co-worker with the problem to test you tip, but today she had right colors and more categories. Dont ask me why???

The only thing that we do last days: I open the shared mailbox as shared use on my computer and look how many categories and witch colors are stored in shared mailbox.

Thanks nevertheless for you tip and your answer.
