outlook sending message with attachment remain outbox long time

we have finished migration from exchange 2007 to exchange 2013 sp1, find under exchange cache model, that outlook sending message without attachment would be 1s to get out of outbox, but message with 3M attachment would be remain in  outbox for about 30s, then moved to sent items, 6M about 50s, that only heppened in exchange 2013 not exchange 2007, I've disable the anti-virus, but the issue still, and I find the owa has no this issue. Our lan network is no problem, speed is very gook.

Please help to look int this issue.

What version of Outlook?  Cached or online mode?  These are things that are kind of important so you might want to include them in your question.  It's also important for you to understand that Exchange 2013 only supports Outlook Anywhere or MAPI HTTP as opposed to MAPI over RPC in previous editions, so the behavior will look different.

outlook version is 2010, I've upgrade to sp1 and sp2, I've tried both cached or online mode, but it's same result.

I see that exchange 2013 only support MAPI over http, could you tell if all setting is no problem, how much time does it need for the message with 6M outgoing from outlook.

My mailbox is in Office 365, which is Exchange 2013, and when I mailed myself a 5MB attachment it took 40 seconds to send.

I can't tell you what is "normal" for your configuration.  All I can tell you is what I observe.

Hi,

I performed the same thing in my Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2013 environment. (Actually outbox is removed from OWA 2010 Premium version and later). When I send a large message to myself in Exchange 2013, message will stay in outbox for a long time, just the same as you. In exchange 2007, it will not stay in outbox for a long time.

But no matter Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2013, it will take a long time to deliver large message. So please try to send a large attachment to yourself in Exchange 2007, and check how long will it take to deliver this message.

Best Regards.

Thanks!

I have tested outlook 2013 and found if set it as online model, only need 10s to deliver the message with 7M, if set it as cache model, need a long time, but outlook 2010 would need a long time no matter online or cache model, I think maybe outlook2013 is the best partner for exchange 2013.

in exchange 2007 outlook can connect to server with rpc in internal network, but exchange 2013 only use outlook any (rpc over https) which mabye effects the speed of deliver a large message.
