You can resolve this error by performing these steps:

Try to open Outlook in safe mode. For opening Ms Outlook in safe mode enter outlook /safe in windows Run option [Note: Before opening outlook in safe mode close outlook from the current mode]

Now if your outlook opens in safe mode properly without showing error then the problem might be due to add-ins installed in outlook.

Disable the add-ins from Ms Outlook
Click on Tools menu and select Trust Center then click on Add-ins
Select COM Add-ins in manage drop down list then click GO
Uncheck all Add-ins ,then click OK
Now try to open Outlook by checking add-ins one by one until issue occurs.
You will then get to know which add in causing error and then remove it.

I've had the same problem, but Outlook crashes even when I am in safe mode.  This started about 3 days ago out of the blue.  I sign on to Outlook and within 5 seconds or less, it crashes and says there was an error in opening- no codes or anything else.  Doesn't matter whether it's in regular mode or safe mode.  I uninstalled Office 2010 and re-installed to the same end.  I'm wondering if Microsoft had some kind of automatic update and it messed my Outlook up.  Or could this be a result of too many emails or something along those lines? The problem is I can't even get into Outlook to try to figure out what the problem is.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thx
