Hi Adinarayana, Does it happen on all users or just this user? Have you tried change another computer to test the issue? Does the client computer joint the domain? I suggest you to run Test-OutlookWebServices with specific user name and check the result. Test-OutlookWebServices -Identity:xxx@xxx.com If it still give no clues, please run the following command and check the result: Test-MapiConnectivity -Identity "XXX\XXX" Related articles: Test-OutlookWebServices http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124509.aspx Test-MapiConnectivity http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123681(EXCHG.80).aspx Thanks, Elvis

Hi Elvis, Test-OutlookWebServices -Identity:xxx@xxx.com and Test-MapiConnectivity -Identity "XXX\XXX" runs sucessfully. Even POP and IMAP also it is prompting for credentials and it is not accepting valid credentials. Tested with different users and with different client machines. one hint is that, only in exchange server autodiscover happens suessfully while configuring the OUTLOOK. This problem is persisting with cleints. I tried by creating autodiscover alias and PTR records in DNS configuration. tried using best practices analyzer also. No error. Please guide me further. Hi Adinarayana, Could you please let me know whether your client computer is joint the domain? I suggest you use Outlook 2003 to manually setup a profile and see if it can connect to Exchange. If you don’t have Outlook 2003, I suggest you configure the profile in Outlook 2007 manually, then see if it works, if it still prompt for credential, can you send/receive email normally? Thanks, Elvis

Hi elvis, My client machines are added to domain and works fine. I tried configuring manually also. It does't connect to mailbox it self and hence i will not be able to do send or receive. In OWA, i am able to send or receive mails and it works fine. At the " online search for your server settings" it is prompting for credentials and upon sevaral attempts it push a error that " The name cannot be resolved . The connection to the microsoft exchange is unavailable." Regards, ADINARAYANA

Hi Adinarayana, I suggest you manually setup the profile and put the FQDN of GC into the server field, then see if it can resolve the name properly. I also suggest you check if all Exchange related services are started in the mailbox server. Please also check if there is any third party software that can affect the communication between mailbox server and GC. Thanks, Elvis
