Hi,

Are you saying that Outlook 2010 will crash upon receiving emails? If possible, please share the crash logs, we shall have a further look then.

When you say "delete the email an re-create it from scratch", do you mean remove the email account from Outlook, then re-add it?

A lot of reasons may cause this kind of Outlook crash error. Let's first try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Try to install any available updates, then verify result. It's always a good idea to keep your current up to date.
  2. Disable virus scanner integration. A virus scanner will scan each email that received, this might cause the issue. So if you do have a virus scanner installed which integrates itself with Outlook, disable this integration and try again.
  3. Have a try in Outlook safe mode and see if issue persists: Press Win + R and type "outlook.exe /safe" in the blank box, then press Enter. This will help to determine whether the issue was caused by third party add-ins.

Hope this helps.
