out of office on outlook does not work

Hello

I have an 2007 Exchange server.

the problem is that all our new users that try to setup their mail in Outlook 2007/2010 or 2013 get an error when they try to setup out of office function.

error : (settings for automatic answer can not be displayed because the server is not currently available)

they also have a problem when they look in the "planning assistant" they can not see others calendar.

but the problem is only when we setup a mail account on a "new pc"

all the old computer does not have this problem.

fx I have no problem at all on my computer, but when i try to setup my mail on another computer, i get the same error.

and it makes no difference whether it is on Outlook 2007/2010/2013

i have try to do this :

1. Hold Ctrl key and then right-click the Outlook icon in system tray.

2. Select Test E-mail AutoConfiguration.

3. Fill out your email address and password.

4. Clear all check boxes except "Use AutoDiscover".

5. Press Test button and check the result. Check the Results and see if the "OOF URL" is missing or set to wrong URL.

but it cannot finnish the test because of an error.

Hi,

What's the error? Can you share it here? Please confirm if the client user can set up OOF in OWA.

Please check the Logs tab in your Test E-mail AutoConfiguration tool. If it fails with autodiscover connection, please run the following command in your Exchange server to check your Autodiscover service:

Get-ClientAccessServer | FL Identity,AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri

Generally, if the issue doesn't happen in OWA but only in Outlook for all users, the issue may be related to autodiscover service. We can set the autodiscover by running:

Set-ClientAccessServer -Identity CAS2013 -AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri https://autodiscover.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

If the issue persists in OWA, please run the following command to check OOF URL:

Get-WebServicesVirtualDirectory | FL Identity,*AUTH*,*url*

Hi,

Please configure your Exchange account which is working normally in old computer on the Outlook client of the new computer to have a try. If everything works in old computer but not in new computer, the issue may be related to client side.

About the autodiscover commands, please check the settings:

Get-ClientAccessServer | FL Identity,AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri

In new computer, please check the following settings in IE:

Click Settings > Internet Options > Connections > LAN settings, please make sure there is no proxy server set there. Only Automatically detect settings option is checked.
