out of office on outlook does not work

Hello

I have an 2007 Exchange server.

the problem is that all our new users that try to setup their mail in Outlook 2007/2010 or 2013 get an error when they try to setup out of office function.

error : (settings for automatic answer can not be displayed because the server is not currently available)

they also have a problem when they look in the "planning assistant" they can not see others calendar.

but the problem is only when we setup a mail account on a "new pc"

all the old computer does not have this problem.

fx I have no problem at all on my computer, but when i try to setup my mail on another computer, i get the same error.

and it makes no difference whether it is on Outlook 2007/2010/2013

Hi,

This issue usually happens if the AutoDiscover hasnt been configured properly for your domain or hasnt been published at all.

We may first run the Test E-mail AutoConfiguration command if AutoDiscover has been configured for your Exchange. To do this, please follow:

1. Hold Ctrl key and then right-click the Outlook icon in system tray.

2. Select Test E-mail AutoConfiguration.

3. Fill out your email address and password.

4. Clear all check boxes except "Use AutoDiscover".

5. Press Test button and check the result. Check the Results and see if the "OOF URL" is missing or set to wrong URL.

Since the Out Of Office feature is controlled by Exchange server, if you need further assistance regarding this issue, I'd recommend you post a new question in the Exchange forum:

https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/home?category=exchangeserver

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.
