option to set reminders in Office 365 not present

I'm using Office 365 with the exchange server available through Outlook.com. I am unable to see the expected 'reminder' options when I right click on 'follow up'.  All I see is an option to 'flag message' and 'clear flag'. I have tried unchecking then checking the 'show reminders' option in advanced settings of Options.  Same with the 'follow up' option on the ribbon.  Reminders are working as expected for calendar and tasks (e.g. can set a custom reminder).  Thanks in advance for help.

I have a 5 license package for Office 365 and this has never worked on any of the machines with 356 installed.

thanks in advance......jim

Hi,

How do you configure Outlook.com account in Outlook? Please note that IMAP or Exchange Active sync email account do not support flags and reminders. Only Flag Message or Clear Flag options will be available for the above type email accounts. If you are using one of the two account types, what you described is the expected behavior.
