I have logged on to the computer with the Administrator account and i am trying to disable the firewall on the computer, but i keep getting this error message: This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. the run commandand the command prompt have been removed from the star buttn, but i was able to run cmd.exe and was able to run control.exe netconnections and still and still getthe message when i try to change firewall settings. Next i tried to run wscui.cpl, and firewall.cpl from the command line, but no luck. What i need to know is how i can fix the Administrator account to allow me to make the changes i need to make. This is only a problem on a couple of computers on the company network, there is no problem with the Administrator account on all of the other computers.

Hi, This is an exchange server news group - you will get a lot more responses if you posted in the newsgroup dedicated to the OS you are using. Check the policies that are applied to the computer you are using. Leif
