one mailbox several users
HelloFor our sales department we want only one mailbox. The users shouldn´t have an own mailbox. Is this possible with ex2010?I was thinking of using the shared mailbox. But in the MS description they mentioned to use a resource mailboxhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201680.aspxAlso outlook needs an user.Exists an guideline or an best useage for collaboration?Or if I keep all mailboxes of the sales users and add an shared mailbox in outlook. Is it possible to set the send as default to the shared mailbox email address instead of the users emailaddress?regardsBjörn

You could set them up with a shared AD account for that mailbox, and have them log into OWA with that account to use the mailbox.

Hi,I goggled over it and have not found any solution, so it seems that you cant set an email address as default from address.Regards,Laeeq Qazi|Team Lead(Exchange + Sharepoint + BES + DynamicsCRM) www.HostingController.com

By default, outlook will send email from “default” account. Did you try making “Sales Desk” as the default account? http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HP030783311033.aspx Santhosh Sivarajan | MCTS, MCSE (W2K3/W2K/NT4), MCSA (W2K3/W2K/MSG), CCNA, Network+ Houston, TX http://blogs.sivarajan.com/ http://publications.sivarajan.com/ This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

I can only add one exchange profile to outlook. So I have to use only the shared mailbox or add it to the user account as an additional mailbox. Thanks for your help Björn

Yes. That is true unless you are using Outlook 2010. Santhosh Sivarajan | MCTS, MCSE (W2K3/W2K/NT4), MCSA (W2K3/W2K/MSG), CCNA, Network+ Houston, TX http://blogs.sivarajan.com/ http://publications.sivarajan.com/ This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
