on shadow redundancy

i have been monitoring my queue for a few days now and i noticed this "Delivery Type" column have a "Shadow Redundancy" type. from what i know, it's a copy of all messages sent until the destination server acknowledges successful receipt.

my question is, why this shadow redundancy only refers to one of my mailbox servers (in the "Next Hop Domain" column)? i have two.

As you mentioned, the nature of shadow redundancy is to send a copy to another server. If you run Get-Queue command from mailbox server 1, the NextHopDomain can only be mailbox server 2 as you don't have a 3rd mailbox server in your environment.
