Hi, Dismount the database and run eseutil is how you do offline defragmentation: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/328804?wa=wsignin1.0 Remember that users will have no access to their mailboxes during the defragmentation and that it can take several hours (depending of the size of the database). Any reason for running this defragmentation (white space inside the store will be used before the database expands again)?? Leif

Hi Joseph, Any updates? If you are running Exchange 2003 enterprise edition , you can create a new database and move mailboxes into it to reclaim the whitespace. If you have any feedback on our support, please click here Frank Wang TechNet Community Support
