office Updates Version 16.x doesn't show up

Hi all,

I am part of the Office Pre-Release Program for Business and so forth I should have received the latest update of Office 2013 (16.0.3823.1010). I have also automatic updates enabled. No such version listed in my options nor by forcing the update.

Note: I received a confirmation email by the Office Team that this version should be available to my organization during the past few days.

Has anybody got it updated to this version yet? Do I need to be more patient!

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or help.

Hi,

do you mean "Office2016" ?

This is not an Automatic Update delivery - you need to qualify, register and download it yourself.

The download is available via the (registration required) MSFT Connect site:
https://connect.microsoft.com/office/Downloads

(qualification includes the requirement that your organisation already has an Office365 subscription of the suitable plan-type, e.g. E3 or b

Hi Kal,

As far as I know, 16.0.3823.1010 is the build number of Office 2016 April Preview. Could you please have a check on this?

To install this version of Office, you will need to follow Don's steps above, register, download and install it by yourself.

No Office 2013 latest update...

My actual version is 15.0.4701.1002

Office 2016 is in preview I am talking about the latest update for Office 365 ProPlus.

Yesterday, I received an email from MSFT regarding an updated release for Office 365 v16.0.3832.1010 as part of the Office Pre-Release Program for Business. The email stated that the update should have automatically streamed down to my machine in the last few days.

This sounds almost exactly like what you're describing.

The thing is, that I'm running the Office2016 preview on a different machine, but, I guess this is information that only *I* would know.

So, I think the matter of your situation is that you have registered at some point for the Office2016 preview, but, that' doesn't mean that Office v15 machines will automatically update to Office v16 - you need to download and install the necessary Office v16 first, and then that will auto-update via streaming to the relevant Office v16 update.

So, any machine which has Office v15 will not auto-update to Office v16, during the Pre-Release/Preview period.

Hi Kal,

I am also a tester for the Office 16 build. I also received the mail. What I do is go to one of the applications (for example Word) and then go to File - Account - Updates. In this case you will see four options. Choose the first one and be patient. This will update your Office Build automatically with the April build. I am running build 1010 (last four digits)

That is the way it worked for me during all the new releases and is the preferred way. You don't have to donwload the builds everytime.

Thank you all for your valuable time - You were all correct - it is the April Tech preview of Office 2016 - Just the communication email from Microsoft office Team was a bit confusing and not mentioning at anytime the relation to office 2016! Communication is key in my business! Thanks again to all...
