not receiving email from exchange server 2003 until you click send and receive
By default Exchange server pushes incoming mail to the client system. One of the client systems recently stopped receiving mail until the user clicks the send/receive button. It doesn't matter whether the mail is external or internal communicated. Could there have been a setting changed accidentally by the user? We are on Exchange Server 2003. The usual cause of that is either Outlook set to work offline or a firewall blocking the traffic. If it is only happening on one system, then the former is most likely. Hi, To have Outlook look for and retrieve new messages automatically on a schedule: 1. Select “Tools”à Click “Send/Receive”à Click “Send/Receive Settings” àClick “Define Send/Receive Groups” from the menu in Outlook. 2. Highlight the All Accounts group. 3. Make sure “Schedule an automatic send/receive every ___ minutes” is checked under Setting for group "All Accounts". 4. Typically, you want the same setting unchecked under When Outlook is Offline. 5. Enter the desired interval for automatic mail retrieval. 6. Click ClosePlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.

Hi Jerome Xiong, It is like manual Send/Receive Click. But by default exchange should push the mails to client system right?. Some of our user experiencing the same issue. But the same time all other user receiving mails immediately without clicking Send/receive. any help Thanks Sankar

As I understand is like this. Outlook access the database on Exchange server directly. If you are using OST or PST file, Outlook will synchronize the data to OST or PST file. The mechanism is confingured in Outlook profile as my last post. So most of time , the similiar issue is caused by client. It is my understanding.
