So only "some" users cannot email the recreated mailbox? Did the SMTP address change at all for the recreated user? What happens the the users explicity select the recreated mailbox from the GAL? Might be a cached entry in the Outlook nk2 file. When you recreate the mailbox you loose all legacy x500 addresses, this is why it's failing. You need to add these back or have users delete their nickname cache. /O=COMPANY/OU=DALLAS/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=TESTUSER. Hi, After deleting mailbox, please try to run clean up agent to purge mailbox from exchange box. After purging mailbox wait for some time and create new mailbox with same email address as well as alias SMTP without any issue http://windowsitpro.com/articles/articleid/513/The_Mailbox_Cleanup_Agent_for_Exchange.html Hope it helps. Hi, Since the mailbox is already recreated, please follow the below steps. -- To remove single entry: While composing the mail, use the arrow key to select the incorrect address and press the Delete key. That will delete the old nick name in the cache. -- To remove all entries from the cash: Delete the .nk2 files in which Outlook keeps those entries. They are usually located unde the following location: WIndows XP/2000 C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Windows Vista /Outlook 2007 C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\microsoft\outlook Please note that '.nk2' files are hidden system files and therefore it can happen that you can't find them using search. To be able to find/see them, in Windows Explorer, under Tools | Folder Options | select the View tab and select "Show hidden files and folders". Also uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" and "Hide protected operating system files". Now all users should be able to send the newly created mailbox in the GAL. -Sree
