ndr notices: 550 4.4.7 QUEUE.Expired
Good afternoon, I can send mail from one acct to this server and it is recieved, but when I try to reply, I get the following... #550 4.4.7 QUEUE.Expired; message expired in unreachable destination queue. Reason: A matching connector cannot be found to route the external recipient ## Any thoughts? I am new to Exchange 2007, so any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Can you verify the email addresses that this user has. Looks like exchange cannot find any connector for the address? You should have SMTP addresses for all users! Deli

You need to setup internal and external "Send Connectors" under Organization Configuration, Hub Transport (assuming no Edge stuff). Internal should be CONTOSO.com or what not... External just a big ol' * . So emails to user@contoso.com sent internally would be routed internally, everything else gets sent out. If you have an Exchange 2003 box as well as the 2007, a connector will need to be setup for the two of them to talk as well.. Most easily done in the 2003 Exchange Manager. New SMTP Connector, NewMailServer name, etc. Hope this helps... John

John, Thanks for you quick reply. I did what you suggested in "Send Connectors" and got the Exchange 2007 mail to flow externally! Thank you for your posting. I do have an Exchange 2003 box as well. I can't recieve email sent fro Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007. But I am able to send 2007 to 2003. How do I setup the SMTP connector in 2003? Thanks in advance for your help.

Great! Here's a link that can provide a better walkthrough than I can from my memory... (I've decommissioned my Ex2003 box) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/265293 for the Local Bridgehead, put in Exchange2007ServerName it will create the connector on both the 2003 and the 2007 box for you. (Did for me anyway. ;-) John

John, Thanks for the posting once agian. I tired what you suggested above and it didn't work. I tired a few different settings but no luck. I noticed I had to create a connect on the 2003 box for 2007
