Have you installed SP1 for 2010 yet? Also can you run a BPA report and list any errors or warnings?Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

the BPA gave me a couple of errors. the one the jumps out is the Mailbox role is not completely configured. I am guessing that could cause an issue. I cannot determine if sp1 is installed. is there a place i can look? it's version 14 build 639.21 I had all kinds of issue with this install and I was afraid it wouldn't work correctly when i was done. I am thinking its time to rebuild the server. I hate to keep hacking at until it works because I dont think that makes for a very stable server.

You are not on SP1. If you have the ability to start over, then I would go there (since you say you have had issues along the way). Start with installing SP1. No need to install 2010 RTM and then SP1. SP1 provides the full installation: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=50b32685-4356-49cc-8b37-d9c9d4ea3f5b&displaylang=enTim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

thanks for the quick response. I have talked it over with a fellow co worker and a rebuild is the path we will take. thanks for the tip on SP1
