microsoft outlook is requesting data from the server
We have a client with Server 2008 runinng Exchange 2007, and the client computers are running Outlook 2010. They have been running fine for the last 5 months but all of a sudden out contact has noticed that she was not reeiving email for an hour. she tried to email her self and noticed nothign was coming through. I checked out the message tracking and noticed she had about 5 or so emails since the time she stated. i then tried to send an emailto her and our admin account on the server. and noticed it did come through OWA right away but took about 10 minutes or so to reach outlook. emails going out from outlook are now taking their time. we have restarted the server and have searched for possible solutions but have not come up with much. the emails are coming in, in about 4 mintues or so now, but i fear it will keep rising again.

It is company wide, which consists of 7 users including the admin account.

Run ExBPA, it will perform the health check on the server and create a report & we'll know about possible cause for the issue here. This tool is in-built with exchange 2007 & you can find this in EMC----->ToolsRegards, Pushkal MishrA

Our network engineer was looking at it last night and removed avast AV and the problem cleared up right away. Avast causes so many issues for some reason.
