Having the same problem as these threads below:

Can't pinpoint what might have caused this to start, could be when I installed CU5 recently?

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Update - I migrated these mailboxes from one forest to another using the Cross-Forest Mailbox Migration tool in Exchange 2013.  The messages began once the Cross-Forest Migration completed.  All the permissions migrated and worked correctly, it just looks like it is causing a problem somewhere else.

Hi,

I suggest create a new user mailbox for testing to check whether this issue exists on the new mailbox.

Thanks

Mavis

I have also found that it is the MSExchangeMailboxAssistants service that is causing these emails to be generated.

Hello,

Are there any journaling rule or transport rules enabled for the problematic user? If so, I suggest we temporary disable the rules and see if this is the cause.

Thanks,

Hi All,

I know this thread is a bit old (as are the threads referenced) but as I'm now facing the same issue, I thought I would try to contribute or see if there is an update.

Basically, we have an admin user that receives meeting confirmations that have the following characteristics.

They are always displayed as "Microsoft Outlook on Behalf of xxx"

They usually arrive in batches around the same time, very early in the morning.

The users Outlook client will not be running.

The user does not have any mobile devices attached to the Exchange mailbox.

The messages go directly to the users deleted mail folder (and there are no inbox rules) as they are auto accepted

Any tips on how to troubleshoot/resolve this would be most appreciated!

Thanks

Hi all,

I have been dealing with this issue with one user for several months. What I did determine is that the time when these Emails come through seems to coincide with the time of day that my exchange server is rebooted. I reboot once a month for windows updates..I last did a reboot two nights ago at 8:15 or so and now that is when the messages are coming. Before it was 4pm.

If anyone can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
