messages going to junk folders
I've just setup Exchange server 2007 with the typical installation along with an edge transport server in a DMZ i also have ISA server 2006 publishing the client programs (owa.... etc). Messages sent to the Internet from exchange are recevied in the junk or spam folders for hotmail, gmail and yahoo emails (the free ones) iv'e tried on other private domain emails and no problem there... what could the problem be??

Could you post a header from the mail as it look like when received at hotmail?

The only thing I can think of is that your servers IP is member of a list that is known for sending bad mail. Could you reconfigure outgoing mail to go through your ISP mailserver (use them as a smarthost) just to get more info and change the IP that is connecting to hotmail/yahoo

Okay, i created a new send connector and i chose to route the mail through a smart host and i added one of my ISP's mail servers and then i disabled my old send connector..... and now it works fine all the messages are received in the inboxes ...what was the problem? this is the IP of the my ISP is 84.235.114.199....???Thanks

This is what I expected. Yahoo/Hotmail has some sort of list that blocks your servers IP to contact them. When you deliver mail to your ISP and later they deliver mail to hotmail/yahoo theres IP is not on the list and the mail is allowed. is perhaps your public IP dynamicly assigned to you

Yeah, my ip is assigned to me dynamicly, i also found out that my ip block is on the APEWS list does that have anything to do with this??-------- Now I just discovered that when i send an email with multiple recipients hotmail puts it in the junk but when I send an email with only the hotmail recipient it receives the message in the inbox...??? Would it be a good idea to sign up for microsoft's SENDER ID program...???Thanks

Could be APEWS but could also be your dynamic assigned IP. There exist some RBL's that only list dynamically assigned IP's Dont know if Hotmail/Yahoo use one of those.
