Hi Everyone I just want to find how a few things, my exchange environment consist of 2 exchange servers. one with exch2003 and the other one with 5.5. What i really want to know is that i want to upgrade my exchserver 5.5 to 2003, i was thinking of creating a second mailbox store on exch2003 and move all the mailboxes from exch5.5 to exch2003, then upgrade my exch5.5 afterwards then after upgrading move all the mailboxes from the second mailbox store on exch2003 back to the new exch 2003. Will this work without affecting my mailboxes on exch5.5. Please if you have a better option for me to do this please let me. Thanks guys

Move all mailboxes over to Exchange 2003 (second store or not is not important) Remove the last exchange 5.5 server from your Exchange organization Reinstall you server with Windows 2003 SP2 Install Exchange 2003 on the server Move mailboxes to the newly installed server You can perform an in-place upgrade from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003; however, an in-place upgrade from Exchange Server 5.5 to Exchange 2003 is not supported. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822942 Deli
