Hello Experts.I have a small business server 2003 running in my organization. File Server, VPN service and Exchange Server are configured on my this sbs server. exchange server has reached its limit of 75GB. now since last week server is hanging after every 48 hours. as you can see emails are curial for any business so its kind a critical situation and i am not able to find any sollution to sort out this problem. following are the steps i have taken to resolve the issue but still no joy.on the client computer i did export the email as pst file and deleted emails from the client computer. still the mail box size is 75 GB. any suggessions will be helpful to solve this problem.Thank you.

Deleting and downloading emails will not cut down the size of the DB. After clearing, deleting and downloading emails , you need to run an offline defrag on the DB. This will clear the whit spaces in the databse and that will decrese the size of the Databse.Run (from the bin folder) eseutil /d "path of the edb file"Raj

Also have a flat file copy of the database.when you run eseutil /d it will take 110% of disk space and 3-4 GB per hour. <!-- <<< -->Raj
