is there a way to have email delivered to a mailbox AND a public folder?
Hi, I'd like to have a particular email address be delivered to a public folder AND a person's mailbox within Exchange 2003. I don't see a way to do that, so I am currently using a rule in the person's mailbox to move a copy to the public folder. This is not ideal since the rule is a client-side rule so it will not be running if the person's Outlook is not open. I found that you can forward a copy of mail from a public folder to a mailbox, but I don't want all the email in the public folder forwarded, so that won't work either. Thanks for any help you pass along!

Create a distribution group with both the public folder and mailbox as members and send mail to the distribution group. Another method might be to make the public folder an alternate recipient on the user object, under Delivery Options, I believe. I'm not sure whether you can select a public folder as an alternate recipient, but that's easy enough for you to test.
