inbound relaying issue
On the exchange2000 server we have several subdomains to send and recieve email by. main domain being company.co.uk And for example test.company.co.uk and test1.company.co.uk Recently added another e-mail enabled distribution group which will be recieving inbound email only say test2.company.co.uk but when an external e-mail comes in to the exchange server it is refused with... Remote host: X.X.X.X. Recipient: '<test.user'@test2.company.co.uk'. RCPT response: '550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for test.user'@test2.company.co.uk' All the others worked OK but not this one.... Any ideas would be appreciated Thanks John

So you have other addressees @test2.company.co.uk working properly or did you recently ad this domain? I'd have a look at security on the DG to make sure it 'accepts messages from all senders' and I'd check the recipient policy configuration for that domain as well.

I have checked what you suggested and found that no recipient policy has been created by the RUS. The other DG's were created a while back and I was not here when this was done. No domain was added as this was not done for the other e-mail domain addresses. I thought the RUS was supposed to do the neccesary tweaking once the e-mail enabled DG was set up. Thanks for your help John
